From the Wednesday, October 15, 1958 Ironwood Daily Globe, Ironwood, Michigan


The following relatives visited recently at the David DeVowe home, Mrs. Teckla Lundwall, Mrs. Margaret Schubert and son, Roger, Mr. and Mrs. L. Lundwall and family, Mr. and Mrs. W. Curtis and family, Stambaugh, and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Dishaw and family of Flat Rock.

  1. Hmm. "... and son, Roger"? Are you sure this is the right year, Nancy? We moved back to the UP from Chicago in 1957. I'm sure Paul and I would've been there too and should have been listed in "and family." Maybe the reporter to the newspaper goofed? I wonder why the relatives got together in October.

  2. Have no idea -- that's what the reporter said..... maybe they got mixed up and you two were included in Uncle Lloyd's or Aunt Janet's family. The relatives probably got together because Alice and Earl were visiting the U.P. for one reason or another. (Maybe a wedding or funeral on Earl's side or something?)
