Starting with some of the oldest group photos

These photos came from Davey, Marlin and Uncle Kenneth's album!

Great-Grandma Louisa and her daughter Ida

This is the way they got meat for their families.
Grandpa is in the middle.

Grandpa is on the left.
This may be the red plaid cap Ronnie and I squabbled over.

School kids in Palmer
Kenneth and Alice in back
Lloyd, Marlin and Janet in front

This is the stonework on the fireplace
(stonework was also on the porch)
Children who lived in the house after Grandma moved

Dave, Doris, Grandma, Aunt Inga and Uncle Andrew in front

I know this is a very faded photo, however it is the only photo I've found where it appears that Grandpa is laughing!
Oops -- looks like he's also holding a gun!
Kenneth, Dave, Grandpa, Ray, Ward and Lloyd

Here's another one with Grandpa smiling -- they are rare.
Carol Jean, Jean, Violet, Margaret, Lawrence (does anyone know who Carol Jean, Jean and Lawrence are?), David, Doris, Oscar holding Davey. I can't find Lloyd, however.

Margaret, Grandma and Doris in back
Alice and Janet in front

Aunt Julia and Grandma
Edith and Emil Equist, Grandma and Grandpa
Grandma and Aunt Ida in Aurora

Back row: Kenneth, Ward, Margaret, Ray, Doris, Dave and Earl
In front: Lloyd, Joyce, Janet, Bill and Marlin
This photo was taken at Ward's home in St. Paul.

This is a long slow process so enough for today.

Also -- Eugene's surgery went well and he and Alice are with Norene for a couple of days. Here's hoping you have an easy and rapid recovery, Eugene!

  1. Great pictures, Nancy! Thanks to Uncle Marlin, Davey, and whoever (Suzanne?) provided pictures from Uncle Kenneth's album. Wish I could see bettter the one with Grandpa laughing. It won't clarify any better on my computer when I click on it--it just makes it bigger.

    1. Oh, thank you, Eugene, for providing the pictures from Uncle Kenneth's album. I read these blog pieces out of order.
